Eva L Kimble, 94, of Temple, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Visitation for Eva will be held at Dossman Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 5-7pm.

Eva was born March 21, 1932, in Temple, TX. to Alfred Sidney Peteete Lottie Cummings Peteete. She married Foster Kimble, Jr. on December 21, 1958.

Mrs. Kimble was the direct descendant of two Bell County Pioneers, Rev. Anderson Clark and W.Y. Cummings.

She attended Temple schools and graduated from Temple High School in 1949. She then attended Temple College. She interned at the Temple Daily Telegram. She became society editor and proofreader for the Levelland Daily News and oil editor for the Hockley County Herald. After returning to Temple, she worked for many years for the Telegram. Later, she worked for The Belton Journal and was editor of the Cen-Tex TV Times. She finished her career as a medical secretary at Kings Daughters Hospital.

She was a Life Member of Texas PTA having served as president at Dickson and Travis Middle School, and Bell County President. She also was vice president of District Nine of Texas PTA for the Temple area and Lampasas area. She also taught parliamentary procedures to units all over the state for various PTAs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Foster Kimble, Jr., and her daughter Deanna Joy Kimble, and sister Sidney Jean Peteete.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Lou Gresham of Temple and Diedra Ann Angley of Bloomingburg, NY.; four grandchildren, Tommy Lee Gresham, and Cordy Allen Gresham of De Ritter, LA, William Foster Angley of Long Beach MS, and Rebecca Ann Angley of Balis Gate, NY.; four great grandchildren, Jonathan Gresham of North Dakota, Tiffany Trammel Louisiana, DeAnna Angley and Micheal Perry Angley of Long Beach MS., and; and five great great grandchildren, Shaylor Mae Trammel, Colt Allen Trammel, and Jace Edward Trammel, Shayla Gresham, Deanna A. Gresham of De Ritter, LA.
