Joe Insall, 95, of Belton, TX left this world, Heaven bound on April 3rd, 2026. A memorial service for Mr. Insall will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton, TX. Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery with Military Honors.
Joe Insall was born June 15,1930 in the Antelope Community where Fort Hood is now. He was the son of Arthur Lee Insall and Ruby Ray Vann Insall. He served in the United States Army from 1948-1953 serving in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, in company D, of the 325th Infantry Regiment and the 82nd Airborne Division. He married Myrna Barton Barrett on April 26,1980.
Together they made a home west of Salado on 25 acres enjoying working in the garden. He lived for fishing and hunting. He was a carpenter both self-employed and for 22 years with Civil Service at Ft. Hood.
He is preceded in death by his wife May 16, 2025 also, two daughters Barbara Ann Insall and Lori Barrett, two sons Leonard Insall and David Barrett and a daughter-in-law Carolyn Insall.
Survivors include two sons Arnold Pee Wee Insall and Kerby Lee Insall and wife Tina, one daughter Kelly White and husband Judd, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope for the Hungry in care of Cross-Waters-Outfitters.
