Leah Michelle (Cummings) Lombardi of San Tan Valley, Arizona, formerly of Belton, Texas, passed away at home on August 8th, 2025.
Leah was born on December 7th, 1974, in Richmond, Texas, to Donald John and Rosemary Frances (Russell) Cummings. She graduated from Belton High School in 1994 and began a career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide in Central Texas.
Leah met the love of her life and all eternity, Christopher Lombardi, early in 1998. They were married June 20, 1998, in the LDS Temple in Dallas, Texas.
Leah is a recipient of the Order of the Yellow Rose in 2000, awarded by the 3rd Battalion 66th Armored Regiment, for her tireless work with the Family Readiness Group. She supported her husband through one tour in Korea, two tours in Iraq, and during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During her husband’s deployments, Leah raised their three amazing children with the assistance of good friends and loving family. She did this while also attending University of Phoenix where she received an AAS in Healthcare Administration. Leah later became a Notary Public in Arizona and used her administrative skills in real estate management for luxury senior communities. She worked diligently as an executive assistant, senior project manager, and senior office manager. Yet, the job she found the most fulfilling, and that she was most proud of, was that of wife and mother. She fiercely loved her family and was extremely proud of her sons and daughter. She enjoyed laughter and having fun with those she loved. Leah’s smile and loud heart will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Leah is survived by her devoted husband Christopher Michael Lombardi; sons Corey Michael Lombardi and Nathaniel Russell Lombardi; daughter Emily Michelle Lombardi, all of San Tan Valley, Arizona; her father Donald John Cummings of Belton, Texas; brothers David Cummings and his wife Jennifer of Van Horn, Texas and William Story of El Paso, Texas; Aunt Julie Neal of Temple, Texas; along with numerous cousins, nephews, extended family and many cherished friends.
Leah is preceded in death by Mother-in-law Clarice Lombardi, Mother Rosemary Cummings, and Sister-in-law Shanna Cummings.
