Mary worked on and off when her children were younger and in school. She often took care of children at her home of which some were still a part of her life after so many years, and they affectionately called her Nanny. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed her time working in the garden and maintaining her yard. She and Leslie were members of the Gem and Mineral Club that was founded in 1961.
