Mary Lou (Perkins) Ward, 86, of Temple passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Andy Davis officiating. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Mary was born on September 17, 1940, in Beaumont, Texas to Gus and Georgie (Spalding) Perkins. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas and attended schools there, graduating from South Park High School in 1958. She attended college at Lamar University. Mrs. Ward married Malcom T. Ward in 1963 in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Ward moved to Temple in December of 1975. She worked for TISD in Temple, Texas.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Ward; sister, Anne LeBlanc; brother, Buz Perkins.

She is survived by her husband Malcolm of Temple; 2 sons Bryan Ward and Michael Ward both of Temple, 2 granddaughters, Ellie Ward of Temple, TX, Corey Ward of San Antonio, TX and sister, Betty Byerly of Port Neches, TX

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
