Matthew Berry Floyd, 24, of Salado, passed away Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, in Temple, TX at Scott and White Hospital.

Matthew was born on June 16, 2001, in Lexington, SC to Larry and Amber Floyd.

Throughout the years Matthew has had an array of activities that he loved. Building computers all because he wanted to learn how. He loved the competition and camaraderie in air soft, loved the structure of culinary classes, and the strategy of poker. At this point in life though he was studying to become an EMT, along with firefighting. He had recently found a love for ancient coins, along with keeping some of his old loves too, writing poems and short stories, drawing, journaling and bible study. Matthew has always had big dreams and ideas.

Visitation for Matthew will be on Thursday June 4th, 2026, from 6pm-8pm. Services will be held on Friday June 5th, 2026, at 2pm. Both will be held at Dossman Funeral Home. Burial at Salado Cemetery on Baines St. will follow.

Matthew is survived by his Parents, Larry and Amber, his brother LJ and his sister Katelynn. Also, Matthew's 9-year-old German Shepard, Mya, 3 sets of grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as some other relations.
