Quantel Ronell Rose, 42, of Temple, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 1pm. Funeral services will be held the same day at 2pm. Both will take place at Dossman Funeral Home

Mr. Rose was born on March 5, 1984, in Temple, TX. to his mother, Pamela Rose.

He attended and graduated from Belton High School, where he was a great athlete. He played for the basketball team, where he helped lead the team to state in 2003, they lost in the last game. “They should have won state but were robbed” was what everyone said. He went on to work for BISD for 12 years. He was the heart of his work team. They will love and miss him dearly. He was a faithful Beltonian. He lived and worked here his whole life, never wanting to leave his hometown that he spent his life serving and uplifting. He and his wife Amanda have been married for almost 14 years but have been together for 20 years. He was a deacon and one of the main members of the church committee for his church, United Temple of Faith Church where he was a faithful member. He enjoyed helping to plan and execute events alongside his wife. He was one of the first ones there and the last one to leave every time.

He was a true follower of Christ and had a servant’s heart. Even down to the little things, like helping strangers grab things off the top shelf at the store and help load pool tables and fish tanks late into the night. He was a loving father, who loved his children deeply. Christmas and Easter were his favorite holidays because they gave him reason to spoil all the important people in his life. He was a good provider for his family and helped anyone when they were in need. He was the main caretaker in his grandma Lily’s life until the very end. He put his life on hold to give her the end of life care she deserved. He was the best father and uncle anyone could ask for. He had a close bond with his siblings and close cousins.

Quantel had his favorite people, and he was not ashamed to let everyone who that was. His nephew Jonathan was second to no one. They loved each other very much and will forever have a special bond. Jonathan is his uncle’s twin.

All his family and extended family, including the Davila and Resendez family, are devastated by his passing. He was loved by his in laws and from the start, fit right in.

Last but never least, was the love he had for the dog he never wanted. Dude, his grandpup, was the addition to the family none of them knew they needed. While fighting to see if they would keep him, Dude’s favorite place to sleep was right on Quantel’s chest as they both napped. There is nothing like the love between a man and the little dog he never wanted to begin with.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Amanda Davila; his children Alexander Davila and Leilah Davila; his brother, Dawoin; his sister, Markeesha Rose and partner Kyle Henry; his uncle Anthony Rose and wife Esther; his nephews, Jonathan Rose and Trenton Rose, Levi VornKahl, Liam VornKahl, Lane VornKahl, Logan VornKahl, and Tyler VornKahl; his nieces, Anaya Rose, Janai Rose, Vivianna Rose, Alicia Davila, Abigail Davila, and Elayna Davila, Allyson VornKahl, and Lily VornKahl; his cousins, Shanta Rose and Trey Rose; his very close friends, Marcene Garrett and wife Dorothy, Adrain Curtis and wife Alicia, Melvin Miller, and Marlon Miller; Kenneth Woodbury and wife Petra; and numerous cousins, friends who became family, church family, many co-workers and other friends who love him.

He is preceded in death by his great grandma Lily Rose, grandma Johnny Sanders, grandpa Gliz Sanders and his Aunt Vicky Hall.

Quantel’s life was a blessing to all who knew him. His legacy of faith, love compassion, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
